I own an older home in the Bouldin Creek Neighborhood that needed expired permits from the mid-90′s “cleared” prior to seeking retroactive permits for construction that had already been completed. David’s knowledge of the residential permitting, and more specifically, the city’s McMansion Ordinance, was crucial to getting all expired permits approved so we could move forward with the new permits. Throughout the project he was very responsive and thourough. David coordinated the on-site inspection with the city and wrapped the project up in a couple weeks – as an out of town owner I could not have done that without him. I have no doubt his former experience as a city of Austin Planner in the Residential Review/Permitting department provided him the tools to navigate an otherwise confusing process.
